The topic of the research was what ‘personal space’ looks like around the world. It questions people’s preferences regarding personal space around different people, that is, strangers, acquaintances and close ones, measured by distance in centimeters and based on their varying cultures. The studies in the research have to do with how different people from different countries view personal space from three points of view, that is, strangers, acquaintances and close ones, based on their cultures. The article managed to answer the question about whether or not culture contributed to the various takes of personal space by different people around the world. It also managed to give more reasons for the view of personal space including how social roles contribute to personal space and the nature of various relationships.
