Incorporating NASW Code of Ethics, especially the Code’s preamble, actively engage in discussion based on the following questions. 

1. With your reading on the Code of Ethics, and especially the Code’s preamble and last section in mind, what do you think would most surprise the general public about social work’s primary mission?  Why? Do you think that if the general public were exposed to the Code it would change their image of social work and social workers?  If so, how? 
2. When you first began to think about your own future as a social worker, did your vision match the vision that seems to be at the heart of the Code of Ethics?  What is one thing in the reading we have done for class thus far that has had an impact on your vision of post-MSW social work?
3. Why do you think that there is such limited knowledge and understanding among the general public about the breadth and depth of social work practice?  Do professional social workers bear any responsibility for this limited knowledge and understanding? Can we do anything to change this?
4. How would you incorporate NASW Code of Ethics in your policy practice?
5. How you plan to advocate for social welfare policy reform in your future practice?
